Human Therapy on Horseback

Human Therapy on Horseback, Inc. (HTH) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, domiciled in Kalispell, Montana. (Tax I.D. #84-1423503)

The primary function of the organization is to solicit through donations or grants to provide financial assistance for qualifying individuals with physical, mental or emotional conditions, in order that they may benefit from therapy on horseback. HTH does not own horses nor do we provide the therapy.

HTH is a community-oriented organization based on volunteerism, which includes ranchers, doctors, educators, physical and occupational therapists, business men and women and parents of riders. This special group of people is persistent in seeking donations to help support the costs of therapeutic horseback riding programs and is dedicated to its cause.

While proven effective (results from therapy on horseback are achieved faster and to a noticeably greater degree than through traditional therapies), this form of therapy is not recognized by the insurance industry.

HTH does not receive funding from state or federal agencies, nor is it a United Way recipient. HTH is totally dependent upon the contributions of its friends in and around the Flathead Valley.
